Should you leave SubManager at all?
For most people, no. SubManager tracks unlimited subscriptions for free, its one-time unlock is $9.99, and it runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. That is hard to beat, and we say so as the makers of a competing app that costs twice as much. The alternatives below are for five specific gaps, not a general upgrade.
The alternatives, and the gap each one fills
TrialBell

Over 8,000 App Store ratings against SubManager's 66. It is simpler, with small one-time unlocks from $0.99, though its last update was in December 2025.
Rocket Money
No manual tracker does this. Rocket Money reads linked bank accounts and lists what recurs. Premium is pick-your-price, typically $7 to $14 a month.
Subby
A manual tracker at the same $9.99, with strong multi-currency handling and a much smaller user base.
When to stay put
Switching trackers costs you re-entering everything, so it's only worth it if SubManager is actually failing you.
