Grammarly's cancellation is buried a few clicks deep and asks you a reason on the way out. Nothing tricky — but you have to finish the flow, and refunds are unlikely once you're charged.
Quick steps
- Sign in and click Account in the left sidebar.
- Go to Your account → Subscription.
- Click Cancel Subscription at the bottom → Continue → pick a reason → Cancel Subscription.
Step by step
1. Open your account settings. Sign in to Grammarly and click the Account tab in the left sidebar.
2. Go to Subscription. In the menu, click Your account → Subscription.
3. Cancel, then confirm twice. Click Cancel Subscription at the bottom of the page. In the window that appears, click Continue, choose a reason for cancelling, and click Cancel Subscription again. The last click is the one that counts.
4. On mobile. Grammarly directs mobile users to account.grammarly.com to cancel — the same flow in a browser.
Check who bills you. If you subscribed through the App Store, Apple bills you and the cancellation lives in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Grammarly's own account page can't cancel a subscription Apple sold you.
What happens after you cancel
- Cancelling stops the automatic renewal — it doesn't switch off Premium immediately.
- You keep every paid feature for the rest of the current subscription period.
- Refunds are unlikely. Grammarly states refunds are issued only where required by law, so the practical move is to cancel before the renewal rather than ask for money back after it.
Whatever you decide, the useful move is to put the date somewhere that will interrupt you. A cancel-by reminder a couple of days before the renewal turns "I meant to deal with that" into a decision you actually make.

Do I lose Grammarly Premium immediately when I cancel?
No. Cancelling stops the automatic renewal, and you keep access to all paid features for the rest of your current subscription period.
Can I get a refund from Grammarly?
